Ben and Cassie’s story started long before either of them realized it would become forever. The two met freshman year at Lexington Catholic and quickly became close friends, spending the next several years growing up side by side through high school and college. Even during Cassie’s years at Miami University, Ben was never far away, making appearances at multiple college formals and remaining one of her favorite people through every season of life.

On December 19th, 2022, their friendship officially turned into something more just as Cassie began dental school and Ben launched Bucks Lawn Enforcement. From the very beginning of their relationship, they learned how to balance long days, big dreams, and the challenges that came with both professional school and building a business from the ground up. Through every high and low, they have entrusted in God’s plan and have been each other’s constant source of support and encouragement.

As their relationship grew, so did their family when Cassie’s dog, Thor, and Ben’s dog, Phoebe, officially became one crew. On September 5th, 2025, Ben proposed, beginning the next chapter of a love story that had truly been years in the making, and it was the easiest “yes” of her life. Even while having to navigate long distance during Cassie’s service in Eastern Kentucky, the two have continued to choose each other every single day.

Now, they cannot wait to celebrate the next step of their journey surrounded by family and friends as they say “I do” on December 19th, 2026 — exactly four years after the day they started dating. Cheers to the future Buchignanis!
